His Excellency the Mayor of Makkah, Eng. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Quwaihis, inaugurated yesterday the Old Makkah Road Bridge in Al-Jumum Governorate, in the presence of the Governor of Al-Jumum, Fahd Al-Qathami.
During the visit, Eng. Al-Quwaihis also inaugurated Martyrs’ Park, the public parking facility, the maintenance building, and the Urban Center at the municipality. He further inspected the Al-Hijrah Park Project and the Celebrations Square located on the Makkah–Madinah Road, and laid the foundation stone for the SAPAC initiative by Pan Kingdom Group on Al-Salam Neighborhood Road.
It is noteworthy that Martyrs’ Park spans a total area of 62,750 square meters and has an estimated capacity exceeding 20,000 visitors. The park includes 25,000 square meters of green spaces, a 1,385-square-meter children’s play area, 26 retail shops, a 1,577-square-meter artificial lake, a 4,600-square-meter palm oasis, and 250 parking spaces.
