His Highness Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, received today at his office in the regional governorate the Managing Director of Pan Kingdom Company (SAPAC) and the General Manager of Industrial Investment for the company, which intends to build a cement plant in the region with its headquarters in Arar.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness congratulated the company on the establishment of such projects and encouraged investment in other developmental initiatives.
On the other hand, Sulaiman Al Harbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SAPAC Company, stated that the industrial license and required procedures had been obtained from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources after geological studies were prepared for several sites. Al Harbi pointed out that the project site has been selected, and negotiations are underway with distinguished European and Chinese firms for constructing the cement plant.
He also confirmed that the project will provide more than 500 job opportunities, with priority in employment given to citizens of the Northern Borders Region.
