The National Housing Company (NHC) has launched a new residential project for beneficiaries of the “Sakani” program in Makkah, as part of the projects currently under construction in the region. The project is being implemented in partnership with the private sector and supervised by the off-plan sales and leasing program “Wafi.” The “Makanah” project offers 108 residential apartments in a variety of sizes and designs to meet the needs of Saudi families.
The Makanah project, developed by Pan Kingdom Real Estate, comes as part of ongoing efforts to increase the supply of residential units and provide housing and financing solutions aimed at raising the homeownership rate among Saudi families to 70% by 2030, in line with the objectives of the Housing Program, one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030. Details of the available units can be viewed electronically through the Sakani website and mobile application, with immediate eligibility, or by contacting the unified customer service center at 199090, or by visiting the comprehensive Sakani Center in Jeddah.
Spanning an area of more than 20,000 square meters, the Makanah project comprises 108 units across six buildings, featuring modern architectural designs and diverse layouts. Unit prices start from SAR 578,000 for Sakani beneficiaries, with affordable monthly installments. The apartments are built to the highest standards, with unit sizes ranging from 150 to 192 square meters. The project is part of a broader portfolio of developments in the Makkah region, which includes more than 69,000 housing units across 28 projects currently under construction.
The project reflects NHC’s ongoing efforts to develop vibrant, modern residential communities with contemporary designs, as part of its expansion plans to increase real estate supply and provide housing solutions that align with the needs and purchasing power of Saudi families, ultimately supporting first-time homeownership. NHC is currently developing several residential communities across the Kingdom, most notably Al-Jawan Suburb in Riyadh, offering competitive housing options.
It is noteworthy that the Sakani Program announced its goal of serving 180,000 families in 2022, including enabling 130,000 families to move into their homes and providing more than 100,000 subsidized mortgage loans. The Sakani platform currently offers more than 148,000 housing units across 114 projects under construction, in addition to 180,000 residential plots in 223 developments across cities and governorates throughout the Kingdom.
